About me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. My life experiences led me to want to become a therapist. I was exposed to mental illness as a child and wanted to understand the impact that had, on the family system. I also I wanted to better understand family dynamics and why relationships suceed or fail. Psychotherapy can help us understand how life experiences impacts behavioral patterns and can help us change our beliefs and thought patterns that are no longer useful in our lives. My motivation to become a therapist grew from experiencing positive benefits that psychotherapy provided me, and I know it can help others. If you are ready for change, psychotherapy can help. When we realize our part in conflict and have the willingness to do something different, then we can begin to experience life, in a different way.
My professional experience includes providing mental health therapy in community mental health with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have been in private practice since 2017. Additionally, I work as an EAP clinician for a hospital. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and trauma informed therapy.
